 Village situated in the most rural part of the Maestrazgo region of Teruel. It is founded on a spur which looks out over the gorge of the Palomita and Cañada rivers. From the "Balcón de los Forasteros" (Stranger's Balcony), you can contemplate a beautiful landscape where the rivers squeeze their way through deep gullies, and the forests merge with small meadows and agricultural terraces. From here you can see the gorges of the Guadalope and Órganos de Montoro rivers, where the water has eroded the rocks into spectacular shapes. Of special importance are the historic buildings, such as the "Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción" (Church of Our Lady of the Ascension), or the "Ayuntamiento" (Town Hall). The village has a population of 205 inhabitants, and is 110 km. away from the city of Teruel. |
