It is an ideal place to enjoy a few days of relax surrounded by a natural environment.

Here, you will find a great deal of peace and tranquillity. You can rest, relax and forget about the stress of the city. It has so much space outdoors where children can play, run, …enjoy.

The municipal swimming-pool is at 1Km, it hasa swimming-pool for adults,one for children and a paddle tennis court. The water is heated at 24ºC approximately.

You can enjoy the marvellous landscapes of the Maestrazgo (“Los Órganos de Montoro”, “El Puente el Vau” (Roman Bridge), ect).

You can also practice various sports and leisure activities or visit characteristic places of the region without the need to make long journeys.

You will taste the traditional regional food in a warm and homely atmosphere.

Hiking can be done in the land of the hostel, with circular paths, or if you want you can go over a section of GR8 (path that pass in front of our hostel).

  • Montoro de Mezquita". (Small village next to the geological formation "Órganos de Montoro").


The area of Villarluengo has many places of interest to visit. Its peculiar geography, replete with deep gullies, pointed crests, and vertical escarpments, creates a wide range of natural landscapes of extraordinary beauty.

Excursion to the Templar Fortified Towers

Guided tours to some fortified towers in Villarluengo, some of them from Templar origin XII-XIII centuries.

The visits have to be previously reserved.

Path GR8

The path crosses the south-east of the province of Teruel through a great variety of landscapes: rugged mountainous areas (Gúdar, Javalambre), luxuriant pine groves, deep gullies, rocky escarpments, river sources, surprising waterfalls...It roams through different regions with their peaceful and picturesque towns, some of which are historic and artistic heritage site.


The region offers a wide variety of activities, from adventure sports: rafting, hunting or climbing in the open routes of the "Órganos de Montoro", to the most peaceful activities such as horse-trekking, trekking along numerous mountain paths, looking for seasonal mushrooms or river fishing in the "Malburgo" reserve.

You can also do BBT routes in the region.

It is possible to practice activities of active tourism in the region, with the possibility of doing it with an experienced guide (Geoventur), canyoning, climbing, caving, via ferrata…

San Antón: Celebrated the first weekend after 17th January, celebration of “San Antonio Abad”, blessing of animals.

25 de April:
San Marcos: The first Saturday following the 25th April, pilgrimage to San Pedro de la Roqueta, in Montoro de Mezquita, very closed to the famous “Órganos de Montoro”

24 de June:
San Juan: Celebrated the weekend after the 24th June. The village youths put up a maypole, donated by the town hall, in the church square. It’s not taken down until the last day of the festivities for patron saints, in August

10 de July:
San Cristóbal: Celebrated the weekend after de 10th July. Blessing of vehicles at the hermitage.

24 de August:
San Bartolomé: Festival for a patron saint of Villarluengo.

25 de August:
Virgen del Montesanto: Festival for a patron saint of Villarluengo.


Villarluengo is included in the European protect figures: LIC (place of interest community) and ZEPA (place of special protection of fowl).

You can sight a large number of fowl’ species (Griffon Vulture, Egyptian vulture,Bonelli's eagle, hoopoe, blackbird, bee-eater…).

In mammals you can also see from the abundant wild goat, to the lacking (but existent) otter, and some other like squirrel, badger, marten, fox…
